
USAID implementing partner RTI/Power Africa have selected Davis & Shirtliff to conduct a series of capacity building initiatives in the solar technology ecosystem. On account of its wide footprint in the region, technical training competence and solar technology expertise, the D&S Group is an ideal partner providing a natural fit to the wider objectives of USAID and its affiliates.

While basic centrifugal pump design has not changed significantly for many years, great strides forward have recently been made in the area of pump control with smart pump technology now available in several new models from Dayliff.

May is the company mid-year that coincides with D&S's founding in 1946, now 78 years ago! Access to flexible credit for consumers and businesses is a key driver of economic growth and several options have recently been made available at D&S for partners in need of financing. For smallholder farmers the Daylipa Paygo platform has been launched to offer solar powered pumps on a pay-as-you-go basis and Daylipa Haba, a save to purchase digital service is also now live.

The D&S Group, in order to bring its range of products and solutions closer to customers in the region, has recently opened new branches in Migori (Western Kenya), Limuru Town (Central Kenya), Mombasa Island (Coast Region) and Leopard's Hill, a prosperous suburb of Lusaka, Zambia. This brings the total number of branches groupwide to over 100.
